Anzac Day Bowls 2017

On Tuesday, Anzac Day, 48 bowlers joined in a game of 3 bowls pairs – Australia versus Rest of the World.  Players wore clothing linking to their countries; lunch was supplied by Sandy and volunteers; a small commemorative services was held around the flag pole.

A spirit of conviviality prevailed, with players of all abilities vying for the (soon to be created) perpetual trophy.

For the history books, Rest of the World (ROW) won in a cliff-hanger, a result they’ll be keen to defend in 2018.
