Our friendly club has every type of bowler catered for, from the curious to the competitive. Whether or not you’re after competition or something more social, we are very happy to assist you.
We have two high quality, well-maintained greens.
Barefoot Bowls
Great for your business or some fun with your mates. Day and evening sessions are available. Enjoy a drink at our bar.
Social Bowls
Our Club is open for social bowls for both men and women. Very friendly social bowls are scheduled each week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons commencing usually at 12.30pm. We also have regular Sunday morning pairs at 9am, and on the second Monday of each month we hold a open event Monday Fours commencing at 10am with a hot lunch. Our club participates in Inter-club competitions throughout the year, including elite bowling of the Premier League, Gateway District Pennants as well as GR8s and other District competitions. There is a competitive game for lawn bowlers of every level. In recent years the Club has achieved exceptional results, including winning the State Pennant title in 2020 and the District First Division Pennant in both 2020 and 2021. In 2020 our club also won the Gateway Division 8 Pennant.
Ladies club
Belmont services Bowls Club boasts a thriving and friendly ladies club, Belmont Services Ladies Bowling Club. We play ladies social bowls every Tuesday and you are welcome to play mixed bowls on other days in conjunction with the main club. On Tuesdays, teams are club selected and we aim to move our bowlers around so they have a variety of bowling partners each week. Morning tea is served at 8.30am and bowls commence by 9.30am. To assist our selectors, it is recommended you arrive for a game before 8.45am. Our day includes lunch and concludes around 1.30pm. Ladies Triples(self selected) are held on the third Wednesday of each month, except January and December. Games are three-bowl triples and we always have a number of visiting teams to ensure full greens and great competition. Prizes are awarded for winners and runners-up and there are mystery prizes. Morning tea and lunch are included and we have some generous raffles. Club competitions are held throughout the year and we participate in district competitions through Gateway District Ladies Bowls Association, including the annual Pennant competition.
